I'd rather be in Ojai...

Nestled in the foothills of Ventura County, and surrounded by the scenic Topatopa Mountains in Ojai, California is the Turtle Conservancy Conservation Center - a 5-acre oasis that is home to one of the most endangered yet patient and calm species on the planet. The Turtle Conservancy is also the tranquil backdrop to our new 2018 Spring/Summer collection, Summer of Sun.

Turtles and tortoises predate us humans by about 220 million years. However, sadly they are threatened with extinction according to the IUCN Red List criteria owing to habitat degradation and loss, high-volume unsustainable consumptive exploitation for food and medicinal products, and illegal international pet trade. We don’t want to see a world without these docile innocent creatures, so on the release of our upcoming new collection, LOC will be donating a percentage of our sales to support the Conservancy in their continuous work to breeding these critically endangered creatures.

We stayed on the property with the three of the sweetest, Alina, Zoi & Cora and captured the girls frolicking in this serene landscape over two days. The perfect setting for a fun-filled summer, with nature and magical gardens, swimming pools and more tranquility to be explored at every turn… to bring to life our Summer of Sun.

Lack of Color's new Summer collection, Summer of Sun, available from Wednesday October 4th, 2017.
